During the COVID-19 pandemic, I started collecting archival stamps, postcards, and photographs of Bahrain. This personal visual archive aimed to explore and preserve a disappearing heritage. Among the recurring themes that emerged were springs, depicting lush palm trees and sparkling water - scenes now replaced with concrete, fences, and streets. This artwork, the first of the series, showcases visual observations from site visits to Adhari Spring, accompanied by two collected postcards that serve as visual references. It serves as an exploratory exercise, bridging the gap between the past and the present.
